A Member is a workspace user who does the work: takes tickets, comments, logs time, and keeps the board moving. Members see the projects they belong to, every ticket in the Inbox, and any ticket they report or are a viewer on. This page is the day-to-day map; each item links to the task page.
Before you start
You need the Member role in the workspace, given by an Owner or Admin when they invite you. To see a project's tickets you must be added to that project by an Owner, Admin, or that project's Project manager.
Your day
- See what is yours. My work shows Assigned to me, Reported by me, Watching (tickets you are a viewer on), and Due soon. See My work.
- Work the board. Drag cards between states, or use the keyboard. See Use boards and Change ticket state.
- Create tickets on your projects or in the Inbox with New or the
cshortcut. See Create a ticket. - Update a ticket: title, description, kind, priority, labels, dates, assignee, estimate, and the billing fields on your projects. See Update a ticket and Ticket billing fields.
- Comment at the right audience. Shared reaches the client; Internal reaches workspace users and elevated client users on the project; Staff reaches workspace users only. Mentioning someone makes them a viewer. See Comment on a ticket and Share a ticket with viewers.
- Attach files up to 20 MiB each. See Attach files.
- Link tickets and set parents. See Link tickets.
- Move a ticket between two projects you belong to, as long as its billing client is still valid on the target. See Move a ticket.
- Log time on any ticket you can see that is in a project: a date, a duration, an optional start time, a note that only workspace users read. There is no timer. See Register time and Edit or delete time.
- Check your week in the grid under Time, and compare it with your expected minutes per week. See Weekly grid.
- Run reports on minutes and money for the tickets you can see. See Run reports.
- Triage the Inbox: route an email to a project as a new ticket or merge it into an existing one. See Triage the Inbox and Restricted review.
- Search by title, text, or id from the palette (⌘K / Ctrl+K). See Find tickets.
- Tune notifications under Account → Preferences. See Email notifications.
- Create a personal API token for an integration or an AI assistant that acts as you. See API tokens and agents.
