A workspace belongs to an organization, and the organization holds the subscription. Owners see and manage it under Settings → Organization → Organization: the current plan and state, seats in use, the trial end, and the buttons to subscribe, change plan, manage billing, or ask to be invoiced. Prices are on the pricing page; this page explains what the plans and states mean.
Before you start
You need the Owner role. Admins and members do not see the Organization page.
Plans
| Plan | Seats | API requests per minute per workspace | Single sign-on and SCIM |
|---|---|---|---|
| Team | 5 | 300 | No |
| Business | 25 | 1 200 | Yes |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | 3 000 | Yes |
Every plan includes the whole product: tickets, projects, time tracking, billing, email, MCP, and the API. What differs is the number of seats, the API budget shared by all keys in a workspace (each key also has its own limit of 120 requests per minute), and enterprise sign-on. Other limits can be agreed with ArktIQ: a custom seat count or API budget then replaces the plan's number.
The trial lasts 30 days from the day ArktIQ creates the workspace, has no seat limit, and includes single sign-on and SCIM so you can set them up before deciding. The trial end date is shown on the page.
Subscription states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Trial | The free trial is running. When it ends without a subscription, the workspace becomes read-only. |
| Active | Paid and current. |
| Past due | A payment failed. Writes continue for a 14-day grace period; fix the payment method under Manage billing. |
| Canceled | The subscription was cancelled. Writes continue until the 14-day grace period ends. |
| Lapsed | The grace period ran out. The workspace is read-only until a subscription is restored. |
| Complimentary | Access granted by ArktIQ with nothing to pay; only ArktIQ can end it. |
| Invoiced | Billed by invoice instead of card. ArktIQ sends the invoice. |
Read-only mode
The workspace is read-only when the trial has expired, the subscription has lapsed, the grace period after a failed payment or cancellation has run out, or the workspace is scheduled for deletion. A banner on every page says so, and any change is refused with "This workspace is read-only until the subscription is restored."
What still works in read-only mode:
- Reading everything: tickets, time, reports, documents, downloads, and reads through the API and MCP.
- Restoring the subscription: Subscribe, Change plan, Manage billing, and the invoice request.
- Exporting and deleting the workspace.
- Offboarding: removing members, revoking API tokens and SCIM tokens, and SCIM deactivations from the identity provider.
Invitations cannot be accepted, and nothing else can be written, until the subscription is restored. Restoring it reopens the workspace.
Subscribe or change plan
- Subscribe opens Stripe Checkout for the chosen plan; you confirm your identity first. It is available on the trial and after a cancellation or lapse.
- Change plan and Manage billing open the Stripe Customer Portal, where you change the plan, update the payment method, or cancel. The portal is always reachable, also in read-only mode.
- A discount applied in Stripe is shown on the page.
Downgrading never breaks what exists: a connection or SCIM set up on Business keeps working on Team, but nothing new can be added, and being over the new seat limit blocks new invitations until you are within it.
Invoice billing
Under Payment, ask to be invoiced instead of paying by card: choose the Delivery (E-mail or EHF (Peppol)), the Invoice e-mail or the nine-digit Organisation number (the EHF invoice is addressed to 0192:<number>), an optional Invoice reference or PO, and a Contact name, then select Request invoice billing. Nothing changes until ArktIQ confirms; after that there is no card payment, and the state becomes Invoiced.
Seats
A seat is used by every workspace user in every workspace of the organization, and by every pending invitation. Client users, contacts, and agent accounts are free. The page shows "{used} of {seats} seats in use", or the number in use when the plan has no limit. When no seat is left, inviting or provisioning a new person fails with "This plan has no remaining seats." Free a seat by withdrawing an invitation or removing a member, or change the plan.
Common problems
"This plan has no remaining seats." See Seats above.
"This plan does not include that. Change plan under Settings → Organization." Single sign-on and SCIM setup need Business or higher.
"Use the billing portal to change the plan." You already have a subscription; use Change plan, which opens the portal, instead of Checkout.
"Start a subscription before opening the billing portal." The portal needs an existing subscription; use Subscribe first.
The workspace is read-only but I paid. The state updates when Stripe confirms the payment. Reload after a minute; if it stays read-only, open Manage billing to check the invoice.
